Paying tribute to the French novelist and playwright Honoré de Balzac who contributed an opus of up to 100 novels and plays in the 19th century. Inspired by the dandyism of the 19th century and the elegance of Balzac, the precious black resin and gray lacquer of the barrel with guilloché refinement, makes reference to the typical cutaway favored by refined Parisian gentlemen. This oversized shaped pen symbolises Balzacʼs bold stature, the round of the clip is embellished in gold with turquoise lacquering typical of the author’s walking cane. The platinum and gold-plated rings refer to the different classes in early 19th century French society, the central theme in many of Balzac's works. Balzacʼs initials lasered on the rhodium-plated gold nib. With accompnaying case and book with an excerpt of one of his works.
